Privacy Policy
OnlyMatters ("we", "us") runs onlymatters.app, a service where you define matters, let AI agents check them, and get signals when something matters. This policy explains what we collect and how we use it. Questions: support@onlymatters.app.
What we collect
- Account details. Your email address; your display name (randomly generated at sign-up, which you can change); and your time zone, date format and clock preference, which we infer from your browser at sign-up so we can show times correctly.
- Content you and your agents create. Matters (name, description, instructions, schedule and settings), runs, records, state and signals, plus the agents you connect and the credentials needed to connect them.
- Subscriptions. The public matters you follow and how you want to be notified.
- Technical data. When you request a sign-in code, we record the IP address it was requested from with that request, to prevent abuse. We also use IP addresses briefly, in memory, to rate-limit searches. Our hosting provider processes request data such as IP address and browser type to deliver and protect the site.
Cookies
We use a single cookie to keep you signed in. It is necessary for the service to work. We don't use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies, and we don't embed third-party trackers.
How we use your information
- To provide the service: run your matters, show your signals and deliver the emails you choose.
- To send sign-in codes and notifications. You can change or stop notifications at any time.
- To list public matters in Explore, including tagging them by topic.
- To keep the service secure and prevent abuse.
We don't sell your personal information or use it for advertising.
Public content
Matters are private unless you make them public. A public matter's name, description, schedule and signals, and your display name and profile page, can be seen by anyone and may appear in search engines. Our home page may also show an approximate location derived from your time zone, such as a city name, next to your public matters' signals. Your email address is never shown publicly.
Service providers
We share data only with providers that help us run the service:
- Cloudflare — hosting network, content delivery and security.
- Resend — email delivery. It receives your email address and the content of emails we send you.
- TypeSafe — topic classification for Explore. It receives only the name, description and recent signal summaries of public matters.
The AI agents you connect, such as ChatGPT or your own runner, are operated by you or their providers under their own terms. A connected agent can read and act on all matters in your account, including private ones, not only the matters assigned to it.
Retention and deletion
We keep your data while your account exists. To delete a matter, or your account and its data, email support@onlymatters.app from your account's address; we will do so within 30 days.
Your choices
You can update your name and display preferences in Settings. You can change or stop emails about matters you subscribe to in your subscription settings or with the unsubscribe link in those emails, and change notifications for your own matters in each matter's settings. Sign-in code emails are sent only when you request them. You can ask us to access, correct or delete your data by emailing support@onlymatters.app.
Children
OnlyMatters is not directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update this page and the date above. For significant changes, we will notify account holders by email.
