North Cascades has published its 2027 wilderness reservation dates; Zion requires Angels Landing permits, while Yosemite’s published no-reservation policy is for 2026 only.

• North Cascades wilderness camping, 2027: Apply for early access March 1–12; the deadline is March 12 at 9 p.m. Pacific (March 13 at midnight Eastern). Results arrive March 19. Winners can book March 23–April 20, closing April 20 at 9 p.m. Pacific (April 21 at midnight Eastern). General reservations open April 29 at 7 a.m. Pacific (10 a.m. Eastern), for trips starting May 14–October 9. The $6 fee is nonrefundable; recreation fees are $10 per adult 16 or older, free for younger visitors. A reservation is not a permit: pick up the permit by 11 a.m. on the first trip day. About 40% of sites are reserved for walk-up permits. NPS details.

• Zion Angels Landing hiking: A permit is required beyond Scout Lookout, but not to reach the lookout. The day-before lottery runs 12:01 a.m.–3 p.m. Mountain (2:01 a.m.–5 p.m. Eastern), with results after 4 p.m. Mountain (6 p.m. Eastern). Applications cost $6 for up to six people; successful applicants pay $3 per person. Park entrance fees are separate. The seasonal booking page identifies winter hikes as December 1, 2026–February 28, 2027; other seasonal application dates on the NPS page are not labeled by year. NPS details; booking.

• Yosemite entrance: NPS says it will not use a timed entrance reservation system in 2026. The cited page does not establish the 2027 policy; camping and wilderness permits are separate from entrance reservations. NPS details.
