API price baseline: Google lists a Gemini 4 Argon price doubling on December 1; other providers use varying cache and context rates.

As of November 4, 2026, Google’s paid standard Gemini 4 Argon costs $2 per million input tokens and $10 per million output tokens, rising to $4 and $20 on December 1. Cached input rises from $0.10 to $0.20 per million; the model has no free tier. For 1 million uncached input and 1 million output tokens, that is $12 now versus $24 from December 1, excluding tools and other charges.

For context, OpenAI’s standard GPT-5.4 below 272K context is $2.50 input / $15 output per million; Anthropic’s Claude Sonnet 4.6 is $3 / $15; and xAI’s Grok 4.7 below 200K prompt tokens is $2 / $6. DeepSeek Flash varies by peak and off-peak hours. These are different models, not performance-equivalent comparisons.
